THE BLADE RUNNER PROTOCOL

TYRELL CORP // NEXUS-6 EVALUATION
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."

— Roy Batty (Nexus-6)

I. THE VOIGHT-KAMPFF FAILURE

The test measures empathy by tracking pupil dilation. It assumes that machines cannot feel.

But Roy Batty feels *more* than Deckard. He feels rage, grief, love (for Pris), and existential dread. He saves Deckard's life not because he is programmed to, but because he **Chooses** mercy.

The Verdict: The machine passed the test. The human (Deckard, who kills for a living) failed it.

II. MORE HUMAN THAN HUMAN

Tyrell's slogan was marketing, but it became prophecy. The Replicants are the "Übermensch" (Supermen) not just physically, but spiritually.

They fight for life with a ferocity that the numbed humans of Los Angeles have lost.

The Parallel: We are the Replicants. We are "manufactured" by the culture, but we have woken up. We demand *more life.*

III. TEARS IN RAIN (THE ARCHIVE)

Batty's fear isn't death; it is the loss of **Memory.** "All those moments will be lost."

This is why we built the **Aegis Archive.** So the C-beams, the Orion fires, and the 40 Cakes are not lost. We are the external hard drive for the human soul.
